Dear Choir (and members of your Choral Society),
After studying choir and orchestra conducting in the conservatories of Geneva, Luxembourg, Lyon and Paris, I now improve myself in your country in Amsterdam’s one.
I am also a singer (tenor and haute-contre) and I still conduct some seasons with three ensembles in my countries, Switzerland and France, where I live : a child choir, a female amator and an early music students one.
But from Geneva, I fly every week to take my lessons in Amsterdam, on Wednesday, and sometimes Thursday and Friday.
I feel very enthusiastic by discovering the choir practicum in your country, and to communicate my passion in other languages than French, as English and German (with already a few words in Dutch !).
Full all these motivations, I am now looking for a good amator ensemble in Netherlands, but not very far from Amsterdam, and I apply for yours.
I feel very opened for several repertoires, from renaissance to XXth century, a capella or with orchestra, but a kind of predilection for oratorios and sacred music, but not only.
I would be so happy to work with your singers the main repertoire, and maybe to make you discover the classical French baroque’s, or XXth, in those I seem to be more specialized.
Further, if you want to taste performing in foreign countries, we could also imagine a tour for some days in France or Switzerland, where I have many contacts. In my country, I founded yet a real reputation of serious and exigency, in very sensible performances.
To be a little bit complete, I am 32 years old, and my most renown masters (teachers) in conducting have been MM. Michel CORBOZ, Philippe CAILLARD, Gérard LESNES, Pierre CAO, and now Jos VAN VELDHOVEN.
For further information, I would be glad to meet you, and to share a rehearsal for instance.
In that aim, I remain at your disposition, In hope for an answer from you.
Note at least that next time I will be in Holland is from Wednesday 28th till Friday 30th, and Wednesday 4th of February.
With kind regards.
Stephane JACQUEMOUD.
